School lunch is an extremely controversial topic in all of APS, and especially at H-B Woodlawn.
Many people I’ve talked to such as Takeru Sato and Patrick Foerster (both eighth graders at H-B), have described the school lunch names like “rubber” and “inedible”. But while the school lunch may not be of the best quality, it may still be practical.
Recently, I talked to eighth grade science teacher, Alexander Al-Hujazi, about the practicality of the school lunches produced at H-B and whether or not they are practical. “It’s definitely difficult to produce that many lunches of high quality”, Alex said.
While I have not had a school lunch before, I have encountered many instances in which I have been repulsed upon seeing one. In my opinion, school lunches may not be tasty or look good, but they serve their purpose of making enough food for all the students who rely on the school for lunch.
