Summer is here as are hopeful summer movie blockbusters! I did a little research into a few that come out this month that I can’t wait to see. Check out their summaries and release dates below.
Ballerina: From the World of John Wick
Release Date: June 6, 2025
Starring: Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves
Promotional Summary: Young Eve, the protagonist seeks vengeance as a cult murdered her parents.She gets taken by her dad’s cult, Ruska Roma and grows up there to develop her ballet and combat skills. She goes on a mission to kill the chancellor, who is the leader of the cult that murdered her parents. Revenge is a big theme, with her wanting vengeance with the people who killed her family.
I already got to saw this one and thought that the movie was engaging with the story plot and intensity.

Promotional Summary: 28 years later is an upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film of the third in the 28 Days Later film series, following 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Twenty eight years after the Rage virus escaped a medical research lab, survivors have found ways to survive/exist among the infected. One group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland, with one of them deciding to venture into the mainland. He soon discovers a mutation that has spread to both the infected and the survivors.
M3GAN 2.0

Promotional Summary: M3GAN 2.0 continues the chilling story, based on the prequel M3GAN, of an artificial intelligence robot who develops self awareness. M3GAN 2.0 will revolve around M3GAN being rebuilt to fight Amelia, a robot built using stolen M3GAN technology. Amelia, programmed for military purposes, developed a desire to eliminate humanity and start an AI takeover. The plot explores the themes of AI safety and the possible dangers of AI advancement.
