Looking for a fun school iPad game to play? Low’s Adventure is a game where the player uses the arrow keys to navigate through levels and collect coins while avoiding obstacles.
There are three versions of the game: Low’s Adventure, Low’s Adventure 2, and Low’s Adventure 3.
Low’s Adventure is about a player in a pixelated world. The player searches for gold coins and must avoid obstacles. Once the player gets all five coins, an arrow points you to a trophy. The player jumps onto the trophy, and it teleports you to the next level. The levels get increasingly harder.
The original Low’s Adventure is the easiest in my opinion, but it’s also the most annoying. It’s simple, you only have one life, and you have to jump on the blue blobs to despawn them. In every other Low’s adventure, you start off with two lives instead of one. In the original, you only have one life, and with all the traps it can be a real pain.
An interesting feature of Low’s Adventure 3 is that you start with three hearts, but you can gain hearts by despawning the green enemies with one spike on top of their head. Crouching acts as a shield, and when a green enemy shoots at you the bullet ricochets off of you and hits the green guy. In most cases, it will drop a green square, which is what gets you the extra life.
The game is available on Math Playground and cbc.ca kids, which are two very good websites for iPad games in general.
Most aspects of the game can be learned along the way, but Low’s Adventure can be very difficult for those who are not patient enough to wait and try again.
In my experience, Low’s Adventure is the most challenging video game that is available on school iPads. The game involves skill, patience, timing and much more. Trust me, the game is worth it.
