Tate McRae’s rise to fame

The overnight sensation Tate McRae wasn’t as overnight as you might think. Tate McRae is a popular pop artist from Canada born in 2003 and is currently 22. Even though she is very successful now, the universe didn’t just give it to her.

At a young age Tate McRae knew she was gonna be a singer. In 2011, McRae made a YouTube Channel called “Create With Tate” where she would post dance videos up until 2017, when she transitioneed to posting original songs in her bedroom. She wasn’t signed until her song “One Day” went viral, catching the attention of RCA publishing. While she was posting on YouTube, McRae won multiple youth dance awards.

In late 2021, McRae started dating Cole Sillinger. Sillinger is a professional NHL hockey player who plays for the Columbus Blue Jackets. They broke up in 2023 and Tate released her new album “Think Later” in response.

The album became extremely popular very rapidly. The album’s top single, “Greedy”, became super popular, making its way to social media and radio stations. For “Greedy”, McRae won the Juno Award for single of the year.

In early 2024, McRae and Charlton Howard, better known as The Kid LAROI, started dating. While in a relationship, McRae released her newest album “So Close To What”. Their relationship ended in late July this year.

As of recently, McRae is on the Miss Possessive tour and released her newest song Tit for Tat. Tate McRae is an inspiration and icon largely for her commitment to her dreams and has earned her spot in the pop world.
