The middle school play this year is Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performances are April 9 and 10. There is also an in-school performance at 2pm in the auditorium on April 11th, open to all HB students. It will also likely be streamed to the building.
There were four motions, including two special schedule changes and a new club.
A school talents show to take place on April 1st was proposed. The schedule would be changed to move the Tuesday morning I block to the afternoon after F block, such that the talent show could run through the short TA. The final schedule would be B, D, E, Lunch, F, talent show, G, H. It is open to all and sign ups will be through a google form. The motion passed.
The Women in STEM club was proposed by Anjali and Sarah to be held Thursdays at lunch in Meghan’s room. Their teacher sponsor is also Meghan. Activities of the club would include talking at elementary schools and having guest speakers. The motion passed.
A special schedule for Antuon’s day (3/21) was proposed. Tuesday I block would be moved to Friday morning, and Tuesday would have a regular A block to make up for the missed class on Friday. The moved I block would be right before lunch to allow for additional time for the activities. Tuesday morning would thus be A, B, D, and Friday morning would be B, C, Antuon’s day activities through Lunch, then regular afternoon. The motion passed.
A special schedule for March Madness was proposed for the week of March 24th. The proposed schedule would move the short TA/I block schedule to right after lunch, allowing for games to be played through lunch with additional time. The rest of the afternoon would have the usual classes, just at shifted times and without the break of the short I/TA.
There was one discussion on Thursday, regarding the removal of the couches outside the third floor elevators. Recently the couches and tables were moved by request of Graham due to the repeated behavior of the group that tends to hang out there.
Next town meeting: TOMORROW, Thursday, March 13.
