This year’s Caring Community Equity Block took place on Thursday, December 12th. It involved many stations across the school that all tied into the pillar of Caring Community. The stations available included writing a card for someone you admire or care about, making friendship bracelets, knitting for charity, and many more.
Some of the stations were school-based and some of them were for organizations like Caring by Card. Caring by Card is an organization that gives people in nursing homes cards to brighten up their day. You can even help at home by making and decorating a card and mailing it to a nursing home. This simple action can put a smile on someone’s face!
During the block, I went to many of the stations around the school. One of the stations that I went to was making a Forever Cookie for a teacher. There were many ‘Cookies’ around that you could paint and draw on!
Hopefully, you got to participate at one of the available stations and had a good time while the block was taking place! Caring community is one of the most important pillars of our school, so it is very important to do activities like this to make an impact on our school community.
